T-X Advanced Termination Unit
A hybrid killing machine built for infiltration and combat, able to take remote control of other machines.
The T-X Advanced Termination Unit represents a quantum leap in Skynet's assassination technology, serving as the most formidable adversary yet faced by human resistance forces. Unlike its predecessors which relied on singular forms or limited infiltration capabilities, this hybrid machine features a standard solid endoskeleton covered by a liquid metal outer layer derived from the T-1000 design, combined with a robust, battle-ready chassis similar to the classic T-800. It was sent back in time by Skynet to eliminate John Connor's future lieutenants and ensure that Skynet will rise without any interference.

Lore & Background
In Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Skynet sends the T-X back in time to kill John Connor's future subordinates in the human resistance, including his future wife and second-in-command, Kate Brewster. It has a built-in supply of nanobots in its fingers, which it can inject into other machines to gain remote control of them. It combines the shapeshifting deception of liquid metal with the brute force and heavy weaponry of a standard assault chassis, making it nearly impossible to distinguish friend from foe until it is too late.
Reader's Guide
The T-X stands as Skynet's apex predator for temporal operations, merging two distinct physiological modes into one seamless killing machine. Its foundation is a solid endoskeleton coated in liquid metal "mimetic polyalloy", which lets it take the shape of any humanoid it touches; unlike the T-1000, it cannot liquefy or morph its arms into solid metal tools or bladed weapons. It carries a large arsenal of advanced weapons from the future, including plasma cannons and flamethrowers, and an onboard plasma reactor powers all of its systems. In the film it infiltrates Cyber Research Systems and takes control of weaponized T-1 and HK drones, which kill most of the employees. In combat, the T-X prioritizes ruthless efficiency and psychological terror. In the film it is destroyed when the T-850 puts its last hydrogen fuel cell into the T-X's mouth, destroying both machines.
The T-X: An Advanced Elimination Protocol
This machine serves as a primary antagonist in the timeline involving Kate and Robert Brewster, tasked with eliminating specific targets to ensure Skynet's victory. The T-X kills Kate's fiancé Scott Mason and impersonates him, and later mortally wounds General Brewster after he activates Skynet. Its threat level is highlighted by its ability to pursue Kate through various scenarios until she reaches safety in a fallout shelter.
