Sarah was sent to the psychiatric prison hospital after trying to blow up a computer factory, while her ten-year-old son John lives in a foster home. Dr. Silberman is the chief psychiatrist at Pescadero State Hospital, where she is held as a mentally unsound inmate; he makes little headway with her and is constantly a victim of her attacks. Several times she tries to improve her behavior in the hope of getting to see her son. Under heavy sedation she imagines Kyle Reese visiting her.
Reader's Guide
John, who lives with foster parents, orders the T-800 to help him rescue Sarah from the T-1000. They intercept her as she attempts to escape the hospital. Initially horrified that the T-800 resembles the Terminator sent to kill her in 1984, she joins them and escapes the pursuing T-1000.
