In the main story of Terminator: Resistance, a single new form of Infiltrator wipes out the Resistance's Pacific Division. This Infiltrator pursues Jacob Rivers, killing Colin and injuring Jacob while scouting before the Stranger intervenes. Jacob warns South Division's commander Jessica Baron about the new infiltrator, but she refuses to believe him. The Infiltrator sabotages South Division's defenses in Downtown Los Angeles before Baron is convinced of its existence and helps eliminate it. Jacob later learns from scientist Edwin Mack that the new infiltration units had only started being produced mere days ago, confirming that Skynet will soon complete the Time Displacement Equipment project and that the Infiltrator sent to kill Jacob had come from a different future. In the Annihilation Line DLC, a new Cyberdyne 102 model of infiltrator is discovered, based on the likeness of Resistance soldier Evans, built by captive prisoners at a production facility.

In Their Own Story

In the Annihilation Line DLC, set during the middle of the main game's campaign, Jacob Rivers teams up with Kyle Reese to rescue a group of people captured by Skynet. They discover that infiltrators had kidnapped the population of the Northridge resistance outpost, putting them to work at a nearby production facility. The team finds signs that the captive prisoners have been slaughtered after finishing work on the new Cyberdyne 102 model of infiltrator, which has been based on Evans' likeness, before destroying the facility. In Infiltrator Mode, a lone damaged T-800 model infiltrator in an unknown region of Los Angeles is dispatched by Skynet to locate and terminate Tech-Com officer Daniel Ramirez in a covert Tech-Com Bunker. The infiltrator harvests intel from the local area, including from scavenger hideouts, Resistance checkpoints, and Tech-Com facilities. After eliminating Ramirez, the infiltrator accesses the Resistance computer and sends Skynet data related to John Connor, being the name of his mother Sarah Connor.

In the main game, players face the new form of Infiltrator multiple times. It first attacks Jacob while scouting, killing Colin and injuring Jacob before the Stranger intervenes. Later, it attacks Jacob at the Pasadena group's hideout, forcing the group to seek refuge at South Division's main shelter. The Infiltrator sabotages South Division's defenses in Downtown Los Angeles before being eliminated with Baron's help. In Infiltrator Mode, players control a T-800 infiltrator, using any and all means at its disposal including weapon caches and items picked up from the enemy to complete its objective of eliminating Daniel Ramirez. The Annihilation Line DLC reveals that Skynet dedicated significant resources into recapturing Jacob's father, who was among the civilians captured from Northridge, and that the new Cyberdyne 102 model infiltrator was based on Evans' likeness.
