Lore & Background
In Terminator Salvation, set in 2018, HK-Aerials and Aerostats, smaller versions of the aerial Hunter-Killers, survey the skies, while HK-Tanks, Mototerminators and various Terminator models patrol cities and roads. In that film an HK tracks down the Resistance's submarine headquarters and destroys it, killing Resistance Command. Terminator Genisys introduces an additional model, four-legged Spider Tanks, which are dropped by aerial HKs. In Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles the company Kaliba is responsible for constructing a Hunter-Killer prototype, and the game Terminator: Resistance adds a new HK Centurion walker unit.
