Born into royalty within the aquatic halls of Zora's Domain, Mipha met Link as a child and the two became close friends. Her people revered her not only for her lineage but for her mastery over water magic and her innate talent for healing. As a Champion, she took command of Vah Ruta, an elephantine mechanical construct designed to harness the power of the elements. Tragedy struck when Calamity Ganon resurfaced; Waterblight Ganon ambushed and killed Mipha inside Vah Ruta, trapping her spirit along with the other Champions' spirits.

Her death left a profound void in Zora's Domain, yet her memory became a beacon of hope for those who followed. Her legacy is carried forward by her younger brother, Sidon, who leads the Zora with the same warmth and dedication she possessed. Through memories preserved within Sheikah technology, Mipha continues to interact with Link, revealing the depth of her feelings and ensuring that her sacrifice was not in vain.
