Lore & Background
He will not talk to Link until he hears Saria's Song, which lifts his mood and sets him dancing. Once Link reopens Dodongo's Cavern, the Gorons' food supply, Darunia hands over the Goron's Ruby, names Link his sworn brother and later names his own son after him. When Ganondorf locks the Gorons in the Fire Temple to feed them to the dragon Volvagia, Darunia goes to rescue them; after Link kills Volvagia, Darunia awakens as the Sage of Fire. He is also playable in Hyrule Warriors.
