Midna
The Twilight Princess who rides on Link's back.
Midna is one of the main characters of Twilight Princess: a member of the magic-using Twili who teams up with Link to stop Hyrule being swallowed by the Twilight Realm. She spends most of the game as a small imp, though her true form is humanoid. Yusuke Nakano designed her and Akiko Kōmoto voices her.

Lore & Background
Midna began as an idea for a scrapped Nintendo project before being reused for Twilight Princess. Director Eiji Aonuma described her as tsundere, brash at first and kinder later. In her true form she has turquoise skin, orange hair, red eyes and body markings; Zant's curse turned her into an imp who wears a Fused Shadow piece as a mask and uses her hair to fight and to steer wolf Link. She is playable in Hyrule Warriors and makes small appearances in Super Smash Bros. Critics count her among the best new characters of the 2000s, and her role is often compared with Navi's in Ocarina of Time.
