Rock-eating mountain folk of Hyrule.

The Gorons are a race of mountain-dwelling rock people who first appeared in Ocarina of Time. They are round and rock-like, can roll along the ground, and are resistant to intense heat and lava.

Lore & Background

Goron culture centres on brotherhood and strength: they call each other, and anyone they consider strong, "Brother" or "Big Brother", and enjoy contests such as sumo wrestling and racing. They live in tribes led by a patriarch, such as Darunia in Ocarina of Time, mostly in mountain areas like Death Mountain, and they eat rocks and minerals mined from the earth.
