Critics have called him one of Ocarina of Time's least loved characters because his long speeches rarely help, and because the prompt asking whether to hear the advice again defaults to yes, so players often sit through it twice by accident. In Ocarina of Time he is the reincarnation of Rauru, the Sage of Light; a Gossip Stone hints at this and Hyrule Historia confirms it.
