Class 1-B

U.A.'s other first-year hero class, taught by Vlad King.

Class 1-B is the second first-year Hero Course class at U.A. High School, alongside Class 1-A. Its homeroom teacher is the Pro Hero Vlad King (Sekijiro Kan), whose Quirk, Blood Control, lets him shape his own blood into constructs once it leaves his body. Itsuka Kendo is the class president and Nirengeki Shoda the vice president.

Lore & Background

Vlad King cares for his students, pushes them to do their best and uses Class 1-A as a rival to motivate them, with a visible bias toward his own class. The loudest voice of that rivalry is Neito Monoma, a boastful student with an intense dislike of Class 1-A. His Quirk, Copy, lets him temporarily duplicate another person's Quirk by touching them; he can store four but use only one at a time. Kendo is usually the one who keeps him in check, and she bears Class 1-A no ill will.

Other members include Ibara Shiozaki, who fights with her vine hair; Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, who turns his skin to steel; Juzo Honenuki, who softens whatever he touches; Kinoko Komori, who grows mushrooms from her spores; Yosetsu Awase, who welds things together; and Setsuna Tokage, who splits her body into pieces. Class 1-B joins Class 1-A at the summer training camp and faces it in the Joint Training battle exercise, which ends in Class 1-A's victory.
