Japanese Police Force

The force that investigates, and arrests the villains the heroes defeat.

The Police Force in My Hero Academia works alongside the Pro Heroes: it conducts investigations and arrests the villains that heroes have defeated. After the raid on the Shie Hassaikai, for example, the defeated yakuza are arrested by the police.

Its chief is Kenji Tsuagamae, whose Quirk gives him the head of a beagle. Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi is All Might's contact on the force and knows the truth about his and Izuku Midoriya's Quirk; he also appears in the prequel My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, where he is the older brother of Makoto Tsukauchi. Officer Sansa Tamakawa has the head of a tabby cat, and Gori, who has the head of a mountain gorilla, is the officer who interrogates Gentle Criminal.
