Gearshift
The second holder's Quirk: change the speed of anything touched.
Gearshift is the Quirk of Toshitsugu Kudo, the second user of One For All in My Hero Academia and the leader of a resistance against All For One. It lets the user shift his own speed and the speed of anything he touches, ignoring inertia. Like the other past holders' Quirks, it is carried inside One For All and comes to Izuku Midoriya.
Lore & Background
Izuku unlocks Gearshift in the final war against Tomura Shigaraki. With it he moves faster than the speed of sound and completely overwhelms Shigaraki. The price is heavy: overusing the Quirk forces him to stop and recover, and its blowback later brings him down in the middle of the fight.
Reader's Guide
He also uses it on an ally, speeding up Katsuki Bakugo and launching him toward All Might and All For One. At the end of the battle Izuku's plan is to get close enough to transfer Gearshift into Shigaraki himself.
