Lore & Background

During the Dark Hero Arc, Shiketsu is shown to have joined U.A. in providing security, and it set up a protocol in response to the events Himiko Toga caused. Its students include first-year Inasa Yoarashi (Gale Force), whose Quirk Whirlwind lets him control the wind and who withdrew his application to U.A. although he was its top-recommended student; second-years Camie (Maboromicamie), who creates illusions from a mist she breathes out, and Seiji Shishikura (Sisicross), who can mold others into restrained globs of flesh; and class representative Nagamasa Mora (Chewyee), whose Quirk lengthens and controls his body hair.

Reader's Guide

Shiketsu's teachings stress obligation and dignity, and Seiji Shishikura holds that Class 1-A sully U.A.'s reputation because they lack dignity. The school's mariner's caps, which resembled those at Tartarus where his father was a respected warden, helped decide Seiji's choice of school. Inasa's early rivalry with Shoto Todoroki began when Endeavor refused him an autograph as a child; he apologized to Shoto after the Provisional Hero License Exam, and by the Remedial Course Arc the two get on better. During the remedial course, Camie proposed that the students win the children over by using their Quirks to impress them rather than meeting violence with violence.
