Class 1-A
The twenty first-year hero students at the centre of My Hero Academia.
Class 1-A is a first-year Hero Course class at U.A. High School and the class the story of My Hero Academia follows. It has twenty students, among them Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Ochaco Uraraka and Shoto Todoroki, and its homeroom teacher is Shota Aizawa, the Pro Hero Eraser Head. Tenya Ida is the class president and Momo Yaoyorozu the vice president.
Lore & Background
The class is attacked early on by the League of Villains during a lesson with All Might at the Unforeseen Simulation Joint. Its students then compete in the televised Sports Festival, go on Hero Agency internships and take final exams in which they fight their teachers. At the summer training camp shared with Class 1-B, the League's recruits ambush the students and kidnap Bakugo; Deku, Shoto, Ida, Kirishima and Yaoyorozu take part in his rescue. Afterwards U.A., suspecting a traitor, moves its students into dorms.
Reader's Guide
In the second term the class sits the Provisional Hero License Exam, which Shoto and Bakugo fail, and puts on a rock concert at the school culture festival to help Eri. A battle exercise against Class 1-B ends in Class 1-A's victory. After the war, when Deku leaves U.A. to hunt the escaped villains on his own, the class goes after him and brings him back. Yuga Aoyama is later revealed as All For One's coerced spy; when the second year begins he leaves the school and Hitoshi Shinso joins the class, now Class 2-A.
