Quick Facts

Brother: Yoichi Shigaraki

Lore & Background

He means to kill most of humanity and rule the survivors as a self-described Demon Lord, and he has spent more than a hundred years working from the shadows toward that end. He is behind the founding of the League of Villains, the spread of the Quirk Doomsday Theory and the rise of the Meta Liberation Army. His real prize is One For All, the one Quirk able to stand against him, held first by his frail younger brother Yoichi. He raises Tomura Shigaraki as a patient mentor, but only as a tool for taking One For All.

Beaten by All Might and locked in Tartarus, he escapes when Tomura and Garaki's Nomu storm the prison. In the final battle he takes a drug built from the Quirk-Destroying Drug that makes him younger; Katsuki Bakugo defeats him and he regresses to an infant and disappears. His remaining vestige inside Tomura is destroyed by Izuku, Tomura, the One For All vestiges and the heroes together.
