Lore & Background

The Shie Hassaikai is a yakuza group experimenting on their boss' granddaughter Eri to produce Quirk-Destroying Drugs. Multiple Hero agencies, led by Sir Nighteye's team, raid the Shie Hassaikai's base to save Eri. During the raid, Nighteye is killed, Mirio is de-powered, and the remaining drugs are stolen by the League of Villains. Eri is adopted by the U.A. staff, and she trains her 'Rewind' Quirk to eventually restore Mirio's Quirk.

In Their Own Story

Three third-year students select Deku, Kirishima, and a pair of Ochaco and Tsuyu Asui to join them as interns. Mirio Togata, the third-year who chose Deku, is interning under All Might's former sidekick Sir Nighteye. Both Nighteye's team and the League come into conflict with the Shie Hassaikai, a yakuza group who are experimenting on their boss' granddaughter Eri to produce Quirk-Destroying Drugs. Multiple Hero agencies, led by Nighteye's, raid the Shie Hassaikai's base to save Eri, during which Nighteye is killed, Mirio is de-powered, and the remaining drugs are stolen by the League. Eri is adopted by the U.A. staff, and she trains her 'Rewind' Quirk to eventually restore Mirio's Quirk.

Reader's Guide

The raid on the Shie Hassaikai base results in the rescue of Eri, but at a heavy cost: Sir Nighteye is killed, and Mirio Togata is de-powered. The League of Villains steals the remaining Quirk-Destroying Drugs, leaving a lingering threat. Eri is taken in by U.A. staff and begins training her 'Rewind' Quirk, with the goal of eventually restoring Mirio's Quirk. The arc shows the students facing the brutal realities of hero work, including loss and the moral complexities of dealing with villains.
