Long before the rise of modern heroes, Titan was a thriving world inhabited by a branch of the Eternals who possessed god-like powers and lived in harmony with their environment. The society was technologically superior to Earth, characterized by majestic architecture and a deep understanding of the cosmos. However, this golden age was shattered when the population faced an existential threat: overpopulation leading to resource scarcity. An isolated outcast named Thanos proposed a radical solution involving the culling of half the population to save the species, but the ruling council rejected his solitary plea.

The rejection of this proposal did not prevent the inevitable collapse; instead, it led to civil war and famine that wiped out nearly the entire population. It was during this apocalyptic era that Thanos, born with a genetic mutation known as 'Deviant Syndrome', foresaw the doom through his unique perspective. His warnings were ignored, and as the world burned and starved, he survived by embracing a philosophy of balance through destruction.
