Wolverine

Wolverine is a Marvel Comics superhero who first appeared in The Incredible Hulk #180 (1974) and is best known as a member of the X-Men. He is James Howlett, also called Logan, a mutant born in Canada in the late 19th century.

Wolverine heals from almost any injury, has lived far longer than a normal man, has animal-sharp senses and retractable claws. His skeleton was coated with the unbreakable metal adamantium when he was made an unwilling subject of the Weapon X super-soldier program. He is usually portrayed as a gruff loner prone to animal 'berserker rages', torn between his humanity and his wild side.
