Hope's journey in Quantumania begins when her father Hank and mother Janet attempt to establish contact with the Quantum Realm. When Cassie Lang reveals a device capable of making this connection, Janet panics and shuts it down, but not before a message is received that opens a portal. This event sucks Hope, Scott, Cassie, Hank, and Janet into the Quantum Realm. Inside, Hope explores a sprawling city to find answers while her family faces rebellion against their ruler. She meets Lord Krylar, a former ally of Janet who now works for Kang. Forced to flee with Hank and Janet, they steal Krylar's ship. Later, after being trapped in a probability storm that splits Scott into multiple copies, Hope arrives to help him acquire the power core needed by Kang. Her resilience is tested as she witnesses her mother's past with Kang and learns how Kang conquered the Quantum Realm after Janet enlarged his power core beyond use.

In Their Own Story

The conflict escalates when Kang demands Scott retrieve his power core or he will kill Cassie. Hope joins Scott in the core, where they navigate a chaotic probability storm before securing the device. However, Kang reneges on the deal and captures Janet while M.O.D.O.K. destroys her ship with Hank aboard. Rescued by ants that have rapidly evolved into hyper-intelligent beings, Hank aids Hope and Scott as they advance toward Kang. Meanwhile, Cassie rescues rebel leader Jentorra, sparking an uprising. During the climactic battle, Cassie convinces Darren Cross (M.O.D.O.K.) to switch sides; he sacrifices his life fighting Kang. As Janet repairs the power core, she, Hank, Hope, and Cassie prepare to jump through a portal home. At the last moment, Kang attacks Scott. Before he can defeat him, Hope returns. Together, they throw Kang and Pym Particles into the power core, destroying them both. The family escapes just as Cassie reopens the portal.
