Vholran Igniseri

Background

The party first glimpses him as a hooded man slaughtering a pack of zeugles in Cyslodia. On the road to Mahag Saar the still-unnamed swordsman ambushes them, and Shionne's shot leaves a laceration above his eye before he impales her in Alphen's place and withdraws when Alphen begins emitting light. After the party defeats Almeidrea Kaineris on her ship, she names him; he runs her through, throws her into the ocean, breaks the rest of Alphen's mask in their duel and kidnaps Shionne.

In Ganath Haros the Dahnans ride boats praising him until their astral energy is drained. He is defeated at Del Fharis Castle after revealing that he too holds the power of a Sovereign, but vanishes rather than dying. On Lenegis the party learns that he was rumored to have killed Urwagil Hildris, the previous lord of Ganath Haros, and that in three hundred years only two Sovereigns were created, Alphen and himself: a Dahnan re-engineered into a Sovereign and placed under the guise of a Lord because he was hard to control.

The Helganquil later bind him in an artificial Maiden Chamber for their ceremony. After the Great Astral Spirit falls he seizes the Renas Alma, loses a final duel to Alphen and destroys the Renas Alma and himself. An apparition of him is an optional boss in Beyond the Dawn. He is an acrobatic swordsman who wields Water-elemental astral energy and ice.
