Background

Ganabelt rules Cyslodia from Cysloden, gathering light astral energy through giant floodlights worked by Dahnan slaves while the realm is cloaked in eternal night. The Dahnans inform on each other to his secret police, the Bureau of Civil Observation, and to foment further discord he poses as Meneck, leader of the Silver Swords resistance, leaving a body double to act as Ganabelt. Using Law's existence as Zephyr's son, he traps Zephyr at Messia 224 and takes him to Cysloden, greets Alphen and Shionne as Meneck, stages an attack on the Silver Swords and schedules Zephyr's public execution.

When Law defects and rescues his father, Ganabelt backstabs Zephyr with a poison resistant to Shionne's healing artes. He fights the party at Riville Prison Tower, where Law uppercuts him into his own spirit vessel and the gathered energy electrocutes him. He views Dahnans as subhuman rats and his fellow Lord Balseph as an incompetent brute, while his Renan supporters remember him as strict but fair. He fights with a guard-less rapier, Light-elemental astral artes and a levitating gold device of seven telekinetic bits.
