Almeidrea Kaineris is a major antagonist in Tales of Arise. She is the Lord of Wind and ruler of Mahag Saar, a cutthroat practitioner of might makes right who is prepared to sacrifice her own people and realm in her pursuit of power.

Background

Before the game she surpassed her older brother to secure the lordship of Mahag Saar, killing the men of her family to gain her position. On Dahna she caught a young Rinwell performing an astral arte and wiped out the girl's tribe to plunder its secrets, leaving only Rinwell alive. Seeking astral energy to win the Crown Contest, she discovered the Fruit of Helgan and had Kelzalik sneak it into the food of Elde Menancia to observe the hollowing it causes.

She then pretended to flee her palace, let the Dark Wings resistance capture her, and during her false execution in Niez the Dahnans in the plaza were hollowed by their heightened emotions. She escapes to her ship, the Mobile Fortress Gradia, and fights the party from the back of her zeugle Mesmald while casting Wind astral artes. Defeated, she asks the mysterious swordsman Vholran Igniseri for help; he runs her through and throws her into the ocean. She is the only known Renan Lord to have abandoned her realm.
