Ancestral origin: Indra Ōtsutsuki

Lore & Background

Born from the legacy of Indra Ōtsutsuki, the Uchiha possess a natural affinity for chakra and combat. Their signature Kekkei Genkai, the Sharingan, allows them to perceive movement with incredible clarity and cast powerful illusions. This power often awakens through intense emotional trauma, binding their strength to their suffering. Its members served in the Leaf Military Police Force, and after the Nine-Tails attacked Konoha the clan was accused of being behind it. However, a growing sense of isolation from the central government created friction. The resulting tension culminated in a devastating purge that left only a handful of members alive, scattering their influence across history.

Reader's Guide

The Uchiha Clan originated as descendants of Indra Ōtsutsuki, inheriting powerful chakra and visual prowess. Historically, they were one of the founding families of Konohagakure alongside the Senju, establishing peace after centuries of conflict. Mistrust between Konoha's leadership and the Uchiha built up over the generations and sharpened after the Nine-Tails' attack. The clan planned a coup d'état to take control of Konoha; the village's leadership ordered Itachi Uchiha to eliminate his clan to prevent it. Notable members include Madara Uchiha, who co-founded the Hidden Leaf, and Itachi Uchiha, whose sacrifice defined a generation. Despite near-extinction, survivors like Sasuke carry the legacy forward into the new era.
