Taka
Sasuke Uchiha's team of three former subjects of Orochimaru.
Taka, originally named Hebi, is a group of ninja formed by Sasuke Uchiha to locate and kill his brother Itachi. Its other members, Suigetsu Hozuki, Karin and Jugo, had each been taken in by Orochimaru and made to serve him as Otogakure ninja. After Itachi's death Sasuke renames the group Taka, and it allies with the Akatsuki to destroy Konohagakure.
Lore & Background
Suigetsu, the first to join, comes from Kirigakure and wants to collect the swords of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist in memory of his late brother Mangetsu; his clan can turn any part of the body into water. Karin, a member of the Uzumaki Clan originally from Kusagakure, joins to be at Sasuke's side. Jugo's clan absorbs natural energy for senjutsu and is prone to fits of extreme violence; he follows Sasuke because Sasuke can calm him, as only Kimimaro could before.
Reader's Guide
For the Akatsuki, Taka is sent to capture the Eight-Tails and fights its host, Killer Bee. The group is split up after its attack on the Five Kage Summit, where Sasuke critically wounds Karin during his battle with Danzo and leaves her behind. Its members later reunite, accompany Sasuke, Orochimaru and the reanimated Hokage to the battlefield of the Fourth Great Ninja War, and end the war on the side of the Allied Shinobi Forces.
