Uzumaki Clan

The clan of Kushina, Mito, Karin, Nagato and Naruto, remembered in a spiral emblem.

The Uzumaki Clan is the family of Naruto Uzumaki's mother, Kushina. Its known members include Kushina, Mito Uzumaki, Karin of Taka and Nagato, the figurehead leader of the Akatsuki. The clan no longer exists as a group; Naruto's outfits keep the spiral logo handed down from it.

Lore & Background

Women of the clan hosted the Nine-Tails before Naruto. Mito Uzumaki, the wife of the First Hokage Hashirama Senju, was followed by Kushina, whose chakra stood out even among her own people and who was sent from her homeland to Konohagakure to replace Mito as Kurama's host.
