Reader's Guide

Kakashi Hatake is a Jonin from Konohagakure who later ascends to become the Sixth Hokage. His past is marked by loss: his father Sakumo, who committed suicide; his mentor Minato Namikaze; Rin Nohara, whom he accidentally killed; and Obito Uchiha, believed dead after a rescue mission. In the original series, he serves as the teacher for Team 7, guiding them through the Chunin Exams and the invasion of Konoha. After the war he leads the village as the Sixth Hokage, and Naruto succeeds him as the Seventh years later.
