Stain Hero Killer Incident
The Hero Killer's last hunt, and the rant that outlived his arrest.
The Stain incident in My Hero Academia centres on the "Hero Killer" Stain, a serial attacker of Pro Heroes who holds that All Might is the only true hero and that most of the others are fakes. After he maims the hero Ingenium in Tokyo, Kurogiri brings him to Tomura Shigaraki, who offers him a partnership with the League of Villains. Stain refuses.
Lore & Background
Stain goes back to hunting in Hosu City, and Shigaraki sets three Nomu loose there at the same time. Stain is found by Tenya Ida, Ingenium's younger brother, who has taken his brother's name and wants revenge. Stain tastes his blood and freezes him with his Quirk, Bloodcurdle. Izuku Midoriya and then Shoto Todoroki arrive, and the three students together bring Stain down. One of the Nomu is killed by Stain himself.
Reader's Guide
Beaten, Stain still stays conscious long enough to rescue Izuku from a winged Nomu and to deliver a furious speech about society's fake heroes. He is arrested and later held in Tartarus. On paper the capture is credited to Endeavor, to protect the students from punishment for using their Quirks without permission. Footage of the speech spreads, and people moved by it, among them Dabi, Himiko Toga and Spinner, drift to the League of Villains.
