Deku Solo Vigilante Era
The weeks Izuku Midoriya spends hunting villains away from U.A.
This part of My Hero Academia, known as the Dark Hero or Dark Deku arc, follows Izuku Midoriya after the Paranormal Liberation War. Having learned that Tomura Shigaraki and All For One are after One For All, he drops out of U.A. High School so that his classmates will not be in danger, leaving them letters that explain the truth about his Quirk.
Lore & Background
At first he does not work alone. With hero society in collapse, he teams up with All Might, Endeavor, Hawks, Best Jeanist and the Lurkers to take down escaped convicts and remnants of the Paranormal Liberation Front in crime-ridden cities. He beats Muscular in a one-sided rematch and is then ambushed by Lady Nagant, a former hero hired by All For One; unlocking Fa Jin, he defeats her and persuades her to change sides.
Reader's Guide
The hunt wears him down. Growing more exhausted in body and mind, Izuku leaves even All Might behind and becomes a full-on vigilante, and another of All For One's assassins almost kills him before Bakugo arrives. Class 1-A chases him down and refuses to let him go; Bakugo apologises for years of bullying, and Izuku gives in and collapses. Back at U.A., now a shelter, a frightened crowd of refugees turns on him until Ochaco Uraraka talks them down, and he is finally able to rest.
