Yachiru Kusajishi

Squad Eleven's tiny pink-haired lieutenant, always on Zaraki's back.

Yachiru Kusajishi is the lieutenant of Squad Eleven in Bleach, known for her bright pink hair and for riding on Kenpachi Zaraki's back. She is later revealed to be a manifestation of his zanpakutō.

Lore & Background

Zaraki found her as a baby in Kusajishi, the 79th District of Rukongai's North, the second most violent area after the 80th, Zaraki. Covered in blood after killing a group of men, he did not frighten her, and he named her after Unohana, the only person he admired. She is cheerful and childlike, loves sweets and nicknames ("Ken-chan" for her captain, "Bya-kun" for Byakuya), and has no sense of direction, though Zaraki asks her for directions anyway. She is strong and fast for her size, can carry Zaraki between rooftops, and when angry her spiritual energy takes the shape of a big pink cat face.

During the war with the Wandenreich she tells Zaraki to release her true power and disappears to become his bankai. Ikkaku Madarame takes her place as lieutenant.

Sanpo Kenjū

A pink-hilted wakizashi she drags on a string, its sheath fitted with wheels by Ikkaku. It creates two invisible copies that strike just before and just after her, so each attack hits three times. She can make the monstrous "kids" visible when she wants.
