Lore & Background

Yammy fights mostly with brute strength, bala and Cero, and rarely bothers with his sword unless he is in trouble. He can suck the souls out of crowds of living humans over a wide area, stores up spiritual power by eating and resting, and grows stronger as he gets angrier.

He is one of the first Arrancar to appear, arriving in the human world with Ulquiorra to look for Ichigo, and loses an arm to Ichigo before they retreat. With the arm reattached he joins Luppi, Grimmjow and Wonderweiss in a raid and is beaten by Kisuke Urahara. In Hueco Mundo he falls to the bottom of the palace through Uryū's anti-Arrancar mines, then releases and defeats Rukia, Chad and Renji. Ichigo saves Rukia, and Byakuya and Kenpachi take over so Ichigo can go after Aizen. After they disable him, Yammy transforms again into something even larger, and is finally beaten by two Soul Reapers off-screen.

Resurrección

His release dumps all his stored power at once, growing him into a gigantic many-legged centaur like an Ankylosaurus that can crush Soul Reapers in one hand and fire enormous Ceros. He boasts of being stronger than Ulquiorra, Nnoitra and Grimmjow combined, and as his rage climbs he can take further, bigger animal-like forms.
