Background

Tara welcomes the Governor into the apartment while he is using the pseudonym "Brian Heriot", and she is at his side when he attacks the prison. The moment the Governor kills Hershel, Tara sees his true personality. After the prison falls she helps Glenn search for Maggie, and once the couple is reunited she joins Abraham's group; when that group meets Rick and his people again, Tara is well received.

At the Alexandria Safe-Zone she is given the job of supply runner and forms a close bond with Eugene, Glenn and Rosita, who are with her when a supply run leaves her seriously injured. Her part in the war against the Saviors is very important.

After the war Tara moves to the Hilltop Colony and becomes Jesus's right hand once Maggie leaves to join Georgie's group. When a Whisperer kills Jesus, Tara takes over the leadership of the Hilltop, but Alpha eventually kills her; her decapitated head is later found on a spike.
