Shiva is Ezekiel's pet Bengal tiger in the comic book series, living with him at the Kingdom. Ezekiel has known her since she was born, when she presumably lived the normal life of a zoo tiger, and he saved her by neglecting to report that she attacked him as a cub, a bond that carried into the outbreak.

Background

Shiva is most often seen sitting at her master's side as he sits on his throne, kept on a chain, and she sleeps in a cage inside Ezekiel's room. According to Ezekiel she hates violence, and she reacts angrily when Rick punches Dwight. She fights alongside Ezekiel against the Saviors and kills one of them; it is thanks to her and Paul "Jesus" Monroe that the Saviors retreat from the Alexandria Safe-Zone.

Along with Ezekiel, Shiva sleeps in Michonne's house, specifically the bathroom, and in the morning Ezekiel mentions that she defecated in the bathtub. After the battle of the Sanctuary she is seen with Ezekiel and Michonne eating a dead zombie, and Ezekiel explains that Shiva can eat zombies without getting sick.

When a large group of zombies corners Ezekiel, Shiva saves him. While he runs, she is attacked, overpowered and devoured alive by the horde, giving her life for her master's.
