The Whisperers

Survivors who wear walker skins and live among the dead.

The Whisperers are a group of survivors who disguise themselves in the skins of walkers and reject the idea of rebuilding civilisation. They appear in the later seasons of The Walking Dead, controlling walker herds and warning the communities to stay out of their territory.

Lore & Background

They are led by Alpha, played by Samantha Morton, with Beta, played by Ryan Hurst, as her second-in-command. Under Carol's orders Negan infiltrates the group and kills Alpha. Beta then takes command, but he and the herd are defeated by the survivors.
