Apoc is a crew member of the Nebuchadnezzar in The Matrix. He serves alongside other redpills like Morpheus, Trinity, and Neo during their resistance against the machines. He acts as a front-line soldier when the team enters the Matrix.

He and Switch act as front-line soldiers inside the Matrix, designated as "point" and "rear guard"." They provide covering fire while escaping Agents and police, making their way into the sewers. However, his journey ends abruptly due to internal betrayal rather than external enemies. After the visit to the Oracle, Cypher exits the Matrix and murders members of the crew: he leads Mouse into a trap, blasts Dozer and Tank with a lightning rifle, and unplugs Switch and Apoc. Apoc is killed instantly when Cypher forcibly unplugs his connection to the Matrix in the real world. Tank survives the initial attack.
