Character
The Wachowskis described him as an "ascetic Buddhist killer". A student of philosophy, he quotes or alludes to Hume, William James, Nietzsche and above all Kierkegaard. His name may nod to the phrase "ghost in the machine", a term for mind-body dualism.
The Matrix Online
He returned in the online game, bald and clean-shaven because of copyright issues over Wong's likeness, and without a voice actor. There he is the first to meet a "Trinity" inside the Matrix after her death.
