Character
Born naturally in Zion, Lock cannot enter the Matrix and knows little of it, so his mind is fixed on the practical job of defending the city and keeping its location secret. He thinks Morpheus's faith in Neo and the prophecy of the One is irrational, and clashes often with him and other believers.
Niobe
He is in a relationship with Niobe, who was once with Morpheus. When the Council asks for two ships to go looking for the Nebuchadnezzar and Lock says he doubts anyone would volunteer for something so risky, Niobe volunteers, partly out of spite at being patronised.
