Mouse (played by Matt Doran) was a youthful and eager crew member aboard the Nebuchadnezzar, serving as the primary programmer for the virtual reality training simulations used to prepare rebels for life inside the Matrix. He is best known for creating the 'Woman in the Red Dress' distraction program and engaging Neo in philosophical debates about the nature of subjective reality. His optimism stood in stark contrast to the grim war outside, as he eagerly anticipated Neo's potential to end the conflict. His life ended abruptly as the first victim of Cypher's betrayal: when Agent-led SWAT teams storm the building, he tries to stop them with dual automatic shotguns but is killed by the police.
