The drug is synthesized using Eri's blood, exploiting her "Rewind" Quirk to create a stable formula that permanently severs the genetic link to a person's Quirk. The drug's development is rooted in the ideology of the group's leader, who views Quirks as a source of chaos and seeks to "cure" society of them. The drug is so feared that multiple Hero agencies, led by Sir Nighteye's team, raid the Shie Hassaikai's base to save Eri and destroy the remaining drugs. During the raid, Nighteye is killed, Mirio Togata is de-powered by the drug, and the remaining drugs are stolen by the League of Villains.
