Earphone Jack

Earlobes that plug in to listen, and to strike with sound.

Earphone Jack is the Quirk of Kyoka Jiro, a student of Class 1-A in My Hero Academia. Her earlobes are extremely long, and she can plug them into objects to pick up tiny sounds and vibrations from her surroundings. She can also channel the sound of her own heartbeat through them as a sonic attack.

Lore & Background

Jiro uses the jacks for more than fighting. She often gestures with her earlobes instead of her hands, and she uses them to jab classmates who provoke her, most often Denki Kaminari and Minoru Mineta. Earphone Jack is also her hero name.

Reader's Guide

Series creator Kohei Horikoshi has said that Jiro may have been the first character he came up with: on a trip home, listening to music on his earphones, he had the idea of someone who could plug their ears into objects.
