Fa Jin

Stored motion, released as one burst of speed and power.

Fa Jin is the Quirk of the third user of One For All in My Hero Academia, a member of the resistance that the second user led against All For One. It lets the user store kinetic energy inside the body through repeated movements and keep it for later. When the user chooses to release it, the energy comes out as an explosive burst of speed and power.

Lore & Background

The Quirk became embedded in One For All and reaches Izuku Midoriya with the other past holders' powers. He first draws on it in his fight with the former hero Lady Nagant: under cover of Smokescreen he builds up energy in his legs, and the third user recognises his own Quirk at work.

Reader's Guide

With Fa Jin, Izuku can tap into nearly all of One For All's power. In the Nagant fight he uses it to move faster than a speeding bullet, knocking Overhaul out of the line of fire, and then to defeat her.
