Erasure
A look that switches Quirks off, for as long as he does not blink.
Erasure is the Quirk of Shota Aizawa, the Pro Hero Eraser Head and homeroom teacher of Class 1-A in My Hero Academia. It nullifies the Quirk of anyone within his line of vision, and the effect lasts until he blinks. He can use it on several targets at once, and it stays active even if he looks elsewhere, as long as his eyes stay open.
Lore & Background
The Quirk has a cost. Aizawa suffers from dry eye and Erasure strains his eyes, which leaves him irritable and permanently tired-looking. He pairs it with a capturing weapon and close combat; in the attack on the Unforeseen Simulation Joint he subdues most of the League's underlings that way before a Nomu injures him.
Reader's Guide
Erasure is the heroes' main answer to Tomura Shigaraki. In the Jaku Hospital Raid Aizawa, guarded by other heroes, keeps Shigaraki's Quirks erased, and when Shigaraki throws a Quirk-destroying bullet into his leg he amputates the leg rather than lose the Quirk. In the final war Neito Monoma copies Erasure and holds it on Shigaraki in his place.
