Mei Hatsume
The Support Course inventor whose 'babies' tend to explode.

Lore & Background
Mei is blunt, shameless about promoting her inventions and easily distracted, once failing to notice one of her inventions catching fire while she talked to Izuku. She also misses social cues, staying oblivious to how uncomfortable Izuku gets around her. One of her inventions, a Power Suit, nearly kills Izuku before she shuts it down.
Did You Know?
- Mei was first designed as a male character; Horikoshi wrote in chapter 35 that he made her female because it seemed more interesting.
- Her Power Suit nods to Justin Hammer's prototype battle suit in Iron Man 2.
