Lore & Background

Tamaki had no friends in middle school until Mirio Togata noticed he was trying to say he liked heroes, and the two became friends. Inspired by Mirio's courage during the yakuza raid, he takes on three villains alone so the others can finish the mission, pushing himself to live up to Fat Gum, Mirio and everyone who believes in him. He also objects to Overhaul about how Toya Setsuno, Yu Hojo and Soramitsu Tabe treat themselves as expendable.
