Story
He was there when Neo sacrificed himself to stop Smith. After the war, so many humans woke from the Matrix that the machines faced an energy crisis and fought among themselves. The Analyst overthrew the Architect and proposed a fix: rebuild Neo and Trinity and put them back in the Matrix through a dedicated tower, the Anomaleum, keeping them close enough to produce huge amounts of energy but far enough apart that they could not break free.
