Billions of humans are neurally connected to the Matrix, unaware that the world they live in is a simulated reality. Only a select few—the 'redpills'—have awakened, seeing the terrifying truth beneath the digital skin.

To prevent mass rejection of this physical confinement, they built a simulation.
