The mountain of the toads, where sages are trained.
Mount Myoboku is the mountain of the toads in Naruto, where Naruto learns senjutsu. Jiraiya, the "Toad Sage", trained in the same art under the Great Toad Sage, who gave him the prophecy of a pupil who would either save the world or destroy it.
Lore & Background
After Jiraiya's death the toad Fukasaku brings Naruto to Mount Myoboku to train in Sage Mode, the art of gathering natural energy through stillness, which Naruto then uses against Pain. Fukasaku and Shima had fought beside Jiraiya in his last battle.
Reader's Guide
In the anime's account of the distant past the toad Gamamaru leads the young Hagoromo and Hamura to Mount Myoboku and uses a Memory Stone there to show them the origin of the God Tree and their mother Kaguya's arrival.
