Sarah Harding

Dr. Sarah Harding appears in The Lost World, Michael Crichton's novel and its film, where Julianne Moore plays her. In the novel she is an ethologist who studies African predators: tough, practical and calm, she puts her colleagues' safety first and quickly takes charge of getting the group off Isla Sorna. She and Ian Malcolm were once a couple and stayed close friends, and Kelly Curtis looks up to her. She travels to the island with Lewis Dodgson's party, believing they are Malcolm's friends; Dodgson throws her overboard, and later, hiding from a Tyrannosaurus under an SUV, she pushes him out to it. In the film she absorbs Richard Levine's role as a behavioral paleontologist who studies dinosaur parenting, is Malcolm's partner, and is impulsive with the animals, petting a baby Stegosaurus, freeing InGen's captives and setting a baby T. rex's broken leg.
