Eli Mills

A man who saw dinosaurs not as wonders, but as weapons to be sold.

Eli Mills serves as Benjamin Lockwood's trusted aide and the driving force behind the secret operation in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. While publicly advocating for the relocation of dinosaurs from Isla Nublar to a sanctuary, he orchestrates a black-market auction on the US mainland. He reveals his ulterior motives after Claire Dearing recruits Owen Grady to locate Blue, the last surviving Velociraptor. Mills manipulates the situation to capture specific specimens, including a weaponized hybrid known as the Indoraptor, created by Dr. Henry Wu using DNA from the Indominus rex and Velociraptor.

Lore & Background

Mills operates out of the Lockwood estate in Northern California, where he conceals his plans from Benjamin Lockwood. While the U.S. Senate debates saving the animals and votes against government involvement, Mills reveals a different agenda: selling the dinosaurs on the black market. He coordinates with auctioneer Mr. Eversoll to host the event, intending to sell the Indoraptor and other captured species. The plan relies on Dr. Wu needing Blue's DNA to create an improved version of the weaponized dinosaur, unaware that her blood is no longer pure after receiving a transfusion from Rexy. Mills' deception extends to Lockwood himself; when the old man discovers the auction plans, Mills betrays him by smothering him to death with a pillow.

Reader's Guide

Eli Mills is characterized by his ruthless pragmatism and lack of physical combat ability, relying instead on mercenaries led by Ken Wheatley. His role begins when he invites Claire Dearing to reactivate the park's tracking system under false pretenses. He orchestrates the capture of Blue and the subsequent shipment of dinosaurs to the estate. A critical turning point occurs when Maisie Lockwood learns she is a clone created from her deceased mother, a secret that motivates her to free the animals. Mills' downfall is sealed by his own hubris; after killing Benjamin Lockwood, he attempts to flee with property rather than ensuring his safety, leading directly to his death at the hands of Rexy.
