Jurassic World is a dinosaur theme park built on Isla Nublar twenty-two years after the Jurassic Park disaster of 1993. It is owned by Masrani Global Corporation in affiliation with InGen, which created the dinosaurs. A successful theme park of cloned dinosaurs, it operated on the island for years, bringing John Hammond's dream to fruition.

Lore & Background

Simon Masrani is the park's owner and Claire Dearing its operations manager. The park's newest attraction was to be the Indominus rex, a transgenic dinosaur created by geneticist Dr. Henry Wu. After the Indominus escaped and most of the unit sent to subdue it was killed, Claire ordered the evacuation of the park's northern sector. In Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, set three years after the incident, the dinosaurs of the abandoned island are threatened by a volcanic eruption.
