ThunderClan
The fierce, the loyal, the beating heart of the forest.
ThunderClan is one of the five warrior Clans in Warriors. It is the home of the series' original protagonist, the house cat Rusty who becomes Firestar, and it has remained a pivotal group throughout the series. In the first arc it shares a forest with RiverClan, WindClan and ShadowClan; after humans destroy the forest, the Clans travel to new territories around a lake.
Lore & Background
Under Bluestar, ThunderClan takes in Rusty, who is not welcomed by most of the Clan because of his past as a housecat. The deputy Tigerclaw murders his predecessor Redtail and tries to kill Bluestar; he is exiled, and Fireheart becomes deputy. A fire in Rising Storm destroys the camp and kills the elders Patchpelt and Halftail and the medicine cat Yellowfang. When a dog pack threatens the camp in A Dangerous Path the Clan is evacuated to Sunningrocks, and Bluestar dies saving Fireheart at the gorge. As Firestar he leads ThunderClan against BloodClan and later on the journey to the lake, where Squirrelflight finds the stone hollow that becomes the new camp. A badger attack wrecks that camp in Twilight, and a lightning strike sets it on fire in Long Shadows. Firestar dies in the battle against the Dark Forest, and Brambleclaw succeeds him.
